Old school hip-hop and cassette culture collide on the PUMA RS-X “Mixtape” release that’s now available to cop. Created in collaboration with designer Alexander John and Roc Nation Exec, Emory Jones, these multi-colored kicks feature PUMA’s signature RS technology in the midsole, with hand painted and custom applied graphic treatments by Alexander John, packed inside a customized box with mixtape graphics. Inspiration behind the shoe’s design comes from words of wisdom that Emory Jones gave Alexander John in which he said – “Yo! Seek the tracks and sounds that provide the waves that move you to a higher frequency. There will always be a side A and side B to every story. Eject all negativity and play the positive.” Additional details include “Side A” and “Side B” on each toe-box, “Eject” and “1990” on the heels, as well as “YO!” to reflect the YO! MTV Raps collaboration from PUMA’s past. We’ve also included a few PUMA tees to match the shoes below.
