Ahead of the arrival of the upcoming Nike Kobe XI “Achilles Heel” release, here’s a first look at the debut colorway from the Kobe 11 sneaker line along with some of the Nike Kobe 11 clothing to match.
Inspired by the Greek hero Achilles and Bryant’s own experience with his Achilles surgery back in 2013, the first Kobe XI colorway combines University Red, Black, Bright Crimson and Metallic Gold with a graphic representation of the Greek warrior on the heel of the right shoe and four stitch marks on the left heel to represent the four feet of thread that was used in his surgery. Matching up with the sneakers is a long sleeve Black Mamba shirt, along with a Nike Kobe cap and socks to complete the signature look.
Watch for the the shoes to launch on Saturday, January 9, 2016 with the matching Nike Kobe apparel soon to hit Nike.com in time for the shoe’s debut.
